My notes on memorials of deeds are the result of dozens of visits to Dublin’s Deeds Registry over the past decade. Towards the end of each day, I tend to be more prone to errors in transcription, or else I leave off significant details. I appreciate being informed of my errant ways. It is the best way for me to find out what needs fixing.

The Six Towns of Ballynascreen were church lands in that parish. When John Stevenson inherited Fortwilliam (through his wife Barbara Jackson) he also inherited the tenancy of the Six Towns. There are several other memorials in the Registry of Deeds regarding Miles North and Edward North of Bloomfield, Dublin, around the early 1800s (EN email 8 Sep 2008). Vicars prerogative wills records that Edward North of Broomfield's will was proved in 1805.Deed 352 393 238884 of 31 July 1883: Edward North of Broomfield, Dublin, re lands at Adamstown Co Wexford (EN email 7 Sep 2008). There is a photocopy in the National Archives (999/173) of a report of John Patrick Prendergast, barrister-at-law, on the claim of Richard Laurence North, Asheville, North Carolina, and Asheville, South Carolina, under the will dated 29 Aug 1804, of Edward North, Broomfield, Co Dublin, proved in the Prerogative Court, 19 Jan 1805. The report recites the will and outlines the subsequent litigation, 1807–1824, Elizabeth and Patrick Webb and Lydia Falkiner v George Vesey, in King's Bench and Chancery.
