JACKSONs mentioned in various editions of the Gentleman and Citizen’s Almanac - with my idiosyncratic notes – all for purposes of easy reference when researching JACKSONs. My focus was on the legal and clerical appointments.

NOTE: The Rev. William JACKSON noted beneath is not the Rev William JACKSON (1737-1795) of the United Irishmen. Even so, it is still intriguing that another Rev. William (who would have been from a previous generation) served at St. Michan’s and that the United Irishman Rev. William was subsequently buried there. I do not know if the two Rev William JACKSONs mentioned beneath, one as the prebendary of St. Johns (1734) and the other of St. Michans (1735), are the same person.

NOTE: Because the SALEs married into the family of Rev. William JACKSON (1737-1795), I included them in this synopsis of mentions.
