I have no idea where this branch of OLIVERs fits in. It may be of interest that Eliza OLIVER, mother of Sir Thomas JACKSON was married at this church and both her parents would have been already dead by then, so she may have been staying with relatives and it may have included this family.

Also of interest, a Samuel OLIVER (1843-1917) lived at Ardaghy, Co. Monaghan and worked as a tailor with his brothers. He was a Precentor at Cahans Presbyterian Church for 49 years. His wife was Ann MEHAFFEY. The name MEHAFFEY shows up in flax records in 1766. They had at least 3 sons: John, William and James Samuel and one daughter, Sarah Ann Mehaffy OLIVER.
