Wicklow, is ten years older – age 51 (if the census is to be believed).  The professions of the two do not line up, but everything else does. Curiously, since this is unusual for a woman, his wife’s profession is: analytical chemist. Anna, the wife of Robert Sr. died in 1904 (see probate beneath). They married at St. Peter’s Dublin on October 24, 1883 - Robert JACKSON (son of Joseph JACKSON) and Anna Matilda HALL (daughter of William HALL). In the 1911 Census, Andrew JACKSON still lives there, his occupation is listed as: private means, and he was born in Dublin, Ireland. I don’t know if there is any connection to notes that I took in 2010 at the National Archives W/A 101: Richard JACKSON formerly of Mt. Strand, Dublin, Isle of Man.

NOTE: In the 1911 England Census, he is described as a clerk in Italy (?document not clear) order, established Church. He is staying with his sisters-in-laws Fanny FLETCHER (single – age 60) and Mary FLETCHER (widowed – age 62), as well as Agnes JACKSON (age 64), a sister of the two FLETCHERs. The three women lived on private means. They were all born in Cheshire. Edwin Sandys JACKSON (age 59) was born in Derryheen, Co. Cavan and had been married 10 years, although there are red question marks on the document questioning the marital status of both Agnes and Edwin. Clearly one of them was married, but likely not both. In the 1891 England Census, he was age 39 and living at the Vicarage in Great Sankey, St. Mary, Lancashire, and was a clerk in Holy Orders. It is unclear, but it seems he was widowed. See probates above for James M’Creight JACKSON and Maria JACKSON. In the England probate records, he had effects in England of £12, 741 8s 4d.
