My dear Mary[1],

Many thanks for the photo, I like it better than a hundred cards.

We'll be glad to see you at any time you come, but give good notice when to be met; for we do not get our letters early.

Grandfather[2] is gone to Ellen Donaldson's[3] funeral. She died on Sabbath of inflammation of the lungs.
