Cancellation Books – Shortstone West
This transcription is done based on records held at the Valuation Office, at the Irish Life Centre, Abbey Street Lower, Dublin 1. The office is conveniently near the Connolly Bus station and train stations. The Cancelled Land Books note changes in the holdings after the time of Griffiths Valuation. They have to be read in situ since they do not lend themselves to microfilm - the colours used in noting the changes are key to interpreting them. NOTE: Don’t take the dates as gospel. In some instances, the changes were entered years after the property transaction and/or change in boundaries occurred.
