Cavananore 1911 Census
NOTE: There is a spelling error in the on line transcription where the townland is listed as Cavamanore.
In this census, Thomas Jackson owns all four buildings in Cavananore. The first, the most substantial, is inhabited by Patrick Lynch sr. and his two unmarried daughters. Jackson had brought the Lynch’s up from Co. Kildare to run the farm. Associated with this house are 15 outbuildings which include: 2 stables, 1 coach house, 6 cow houses, 1 calf houses, 1 piggery, 1 fowl house, 1 barn, 1 potato house and 1 shed. It is pretty close to what was recorded 10 years earlier.
The 2nd house was inhabited by Patrick Lynch jr., his wife and three children. It had three outbuildings: a piggery, a fowl house and a store house.
The 3rd house was inhabited by the Cunningham family. It had only two outbuildings: a piggery and a fowl house.
The 4th house was vacant, and had no outbuildings associated with it. Going by the cancellation books, it seems that it went from John Cunningham, born in Co. Meath, to Owen Kirk and then to Peter Curtis.
