Within this Tomb reposeth the body of Doctor Rowland Jackson, a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, of London; who died sincerely lamented by his family and friends, on the 29th of March 1784, aged 63 Years. |

South Park Street Burial Ground Sacred to the Memory of Mrs. Phoebe Jackson, Late wife of Lieut. Edward Rowland Jackson Who died the 20th November 1785, aged 24 years. And ye who now with pensive thoughts peruse The sad effusions of a mournful muse Yet mark though beauty gives thee every grace And youth’s warm blood still flushes in your face Perhaps o’er you death holds his iron rod, And unprepar’d demands thee from thy God. The remains of her Father-in-law Doctor Rowland Jackson, are deposited near this place. |
