St Peters Drogheda Church records OLIVER
From notes taken at the Representative Library in Dublin: abt March 10, 2013
These names interest me in conjunction with the OLIVERs of Co. Armagh. In 1670, there is mention of a Thomas OLIVER in Settlement and Survival on an Uster Estate: The Brownlow Leasebook 1667-1711. Ed. R.G. Gillespie. Belfast 1988. He was witness to an agreement in August 1670 with Hugh STAMPER (see p.107). Secondly, the name Benjamin appears in our family tree in Co. Armagh in the 1700s and 1800s, the earliest one born in 1724.
Also of interest is that OLIVERs were recorded at St. Peter’s Church in Drogheda for a little over a decade, and then there is no further mention of them. Where did they go?
