I have cross-referenced all the baptisms, marriages, burials and confirmations of Creggan Parish that relate to my family tree and that are available to me from a range of sources. My primary source was PRONI MIC 1-11. Some names are included only because they also reside in a significant townland - for example, Urker. Many of my notes are not much more than conjecture. Please take them with a grain of salt. In total, there are about 56 pages of transcriptions and notes, and several hundred names are mentioned.

Clohog

b. 1809 possible sister of above. Parents William DONALDSON & Barbara BRADFORD.

1824

Jackson, Ann

20

Liscalgot

B 1804  It would be tempting to suggest Ann is the daughter of John JACKSON & Elizabeth McCULLAGH, but I would suggest that there is another line of JACKSONs living at Liscalgot at this time – likely cousins of our line. NOTE: I do not know anything about them, but there is a strong possibility that they are the children of Richard JACKSON.

1824

Jackson, Eliza

15

Liscalgot

B 1809 It would be tempting to suggest Eliza is the daughter of John JACKSON & Elizabeth McCULLAGH, but it is unlikely as Elizabeth McCULLAGH would have been 14 at the time of this birth. Rather, I would suggest that there is another line of JACKSONs living at Liscalgot at this time – likely cousins of our line. NOTE: I do not know anything about them, but there is a strong possibility that they are the children of Richard JACKSON.

Jackson, George

1824

Jackson, John

15

Urker

b. 1809 NOTE: He is not likely a son of John JACKSON or George JACKSON jr. & therefore a grandson of George JACKSON & Margaret O’LAUGHLIN. It is more likely that he was a son of the John JACKSON who married in 1807.

1824

Jackson, John

18

Liscalgot

B 1806.  It would be tempting to suggest John is the son of John JACKSON & Elizabeth McCULLAGH, but I would suggest that there is another line of JACKSONs living at Liscalgot at this time – likely cousins of our line. NOTE: I do not know anything about them, but there is a strong possibility that they are the children of Richard JACKSON. One other possibility is that a John JACKSON had a son John baptised 1809 at Creggan.

1824

Jackson, Margaret

22

Liscalgot

B 1802 It would be tempting to suggest Margaret is the daughter of John JACKSON & Elizabeth McCULLAGH, but it is unlikely as Elizabeth McCULLAGH would have been 14 at the time of this birth. Rather, I would suggest that there is another line of JACKSONs living at Liscalgot at this time – likely cousins of our line. I do not know anything about them.

1828

Jackson, Mary

15

Liscalgot

B 1813. NOTE: It would be tempting to suggest Mary is the daughter of John JACKSON & Elizabeth McCULLAGH, but I would suggest that there is another line of JACKSONs living at Liscalgot at this time – likely cousins of our line. It is possible that the father was a Richard JACKSON since he had a dau b 1810.

Jackson, Sarah

Jackson, Sarah

16

Liscalgot

B. June 24, 1811; daughter of John JACKSON & Elizabeth McCULLAGH; later became the wife of Rev. Joseph BARKLEY and died Feb 6, 1892. Interesting that her younger brother’s residence is given as Urker. I wonder if her residence was mixed up with that of her namesake cousin who was a year younger, or if she was actually resident at the Liscalgot school and working there in some capacity.
