Only five of the following JACKSONs are not included in the Jacksons of Ballyboy Family Tree. Some look suspiciously as if they might be. It is wise to bear in mind that Birr and Parsonstown aka Parsons town are often interchangeable and the two parishes border each other. There are plenty of mentions of Parsonstown in the Ballyboy tree, and plenty of mentions of Birr in the ones that are not yet seen to be connected to that tree. More work is needed, but I am going cross-eyed already.

Probate Jan 1, 1908 of will of Susanna JACKSON late of Longford, Birr, Kings Co. widow who died July 26, 1907 granted at Mullingar to John Shortt ROE, Esq. Effects: £191 13s 11d.

NOTE: Longford Big, Parish Seirkieran, Barony Ballybritt

NOTE: In death cert, Susannah JACKSON (1824-1907) was a widow age 83 of Longford, Cloreen. Her son, present at death, was Francis Henry JACKSON. My best hunch is that she was the widow of Lewis Henry JACKSON (1825-1865). His brother was a George JACKSON (1809-1881), husband of Frances ROE. Another brother, James JACKSON married a Catherine DAVIS. The brothers were sons of Francis JACKSON & Anne J HASLAM.

NOTE: Charlotte JACKSON, wife of John Short ROE, was a daughter of James JACKSON of Seirkieran, Kings Co. They married Mar 30, 1886.

NOTE: Not quite a connection - In the 1911 Census, a James JACKSON on Main St. Frankford was age 79 and his daughter Charlotte Elizabeth was age 32. There was also a daughter Isabella age 27. She was born in Co. Kilkenny.

NOTE: Given the description in the probate of Thomas-town, Birr, and the details in the 1901 Census, this is in Thomastown Demesne, Parish Drumcullen, Barony Eglish (owned by Francis BENNET in 1853 Griffiths) although I cannot rule out Thomastown, Parish Ballymacwilliam, Barony Warrenstown (owned by John STRONG and leased to John CLARKE in 1853 Griffiths).

NOTE: 1901 Census Thomas A JACKSON age 37, wife Elizabeth. 1911 Census, married 11 years, age 48.

NOTE: Marriage Cert: 1899 Thomas Arthur JACKSON widower, of Eglish Castle, Parsonstown, son of James JACKSON Esq. Elizabeth RICHARDSON daughter of Rev. William RICHARDSON. See: Eglish Castle. NOTE: ROD: 496-199-318759. A James JACKSON in 1792 held title to Springfield. James JACKSON 1 Nov 1790 indebted to Robert SMITH a sum of £1,938 collateral… made over house offices mills and lands of Springfield otherwise called part of Great Clonoghill and also part of contiguous land of Little Clonoghill [Clonoghil Lower  OR Clonoghil Upper OR Clonoghil Upper2, Parish Birr, Barony of Ballybritt] in Barony of Ballybritt, Kings Co. WITNESS: John Hubert MOORE. There are other deeds involving the same names where Springfield is described as being in Queens Co. Since it is in Drumcullen Parish, this makes no sense to me.
