Because Ballymoran is on the eastern border of Ennislare – where a William OLIVER (1730-1816) held land, and is also on the southern border of Farmacaffley (aka SherranmcAghully) where Andrew OLIVER held land in 1664, I suspect this family will turn out to have a connection to these OLIVERs. Ballymoran is also just one townland east of Ballynahone, where William OLIVER (bef 1700-aft1730) and Elizabeth HARDY lived. Henry OLIVER (1803-1884) was a member of a family that remained Church of Ireland.

Updated June 29, 2017. Thanks to info from Maria BEATTIE (some from a year ago - sorry for the delay!) Also July 3, 2017 I added Anne OLIVER 1844-1864. The fact of both her birth and burial to Caledon is significant given the presence of other branches of OLIVER families resident there in this time frame. July 5, 2017: Added James HILL death date & James OLIVER 1900 place of death. June 8, 2023 Added Ellen OLIVER and husband John HILL.
