It interests me that the sole MENARY entry for Keady is a female.
I would suspect that she was a widow, although one cannot rule out
              an unmarried woman.
The earliest MENARY in our family tree is an Alexander
MENARY. It should also be noted that the parish
of Derrynoose abuts the parish of Lisnadill (it is just to the
west of it). Lisnadill is the parish where known members of our
            MENARY-connected family lived.
            In
the transcriptions from the parish registers of Mullaghbrack (a
parish east of Lisnadill and still within walking distance from Maghery
and Maghery House) there is the record of the birth of a son of John
              MENARY,
named William MENARY born on August
16, 1773. The father was noted as being resident in the townland
of Lettery, Parish of Mullaghbrack, Co. Armagh. It would be useful
to explore whether this William MENARY had a son called Alexander.
Or conversely, whether John had another son
called Alexander (maybe a more likely place to look). Other parish registers may help us
            here.
