I am curious how many of these SCOTTs are related, in one way or another, to William Ramsay SCOTT (1838-1909). He was a brother-in-law of Thomas JACKSON (1841-1915). My interest is as much with their business connections as it is with their famililial ties.

Mentions of SCOTT: 1877 Trade Directory of China, Japan, the Phillipines &c. Hong Kong.
NOTE: The absence of William Ramsay SCOTT – he is present
in 1879. There are other changes noted when comparing the two years, but for my
purposes, this is the most significant.
