MYSTERY PHOTOS

 

This is one that Wendy Jack has in her collection and is still unidentified.
Unidentified soldier
This was copied from an article in a magazine which my brother Brian brought back from Japan. The inscription beneath it reads: "above Brown (l.) and Glover, two prominent figures from Scotland, contributed much to the young Meiji Government".
An unknown soldier - even dating this photo would be helpful. I defer to those who can contribute knowledge of styles of military dress.

One writer has suggested that these photos may be of "Pattersons". The father has a resemblance to BROWN in the news article above.

Standing between the possible Molly Jackson is possibly the Thomas Dare Jackson, son of Sir Thomas Jackson. The Thomas Dare Jackson to the right would be the son of Andrew Coulter Bradford Jackson.
